A movement created by the Otis and Rosie Brown Foundation
The Otis and Rosie Brown Living Room at the downtown Arlington Public Library greets all visitors when they step through the door. Just like its namesake living room where the neighborhood gathered for meals, support, and fellowship at Otis and Rosie's house in Arlington, the Living Room at the library provides a comfortable and welcoming special space to study, read, visit, and relax.
The George W. Hawkes Downtown Library is a hub for all members of the Arlington community. The new library is designed to meet the technological and educational needs of a vibrant, modern society. With three levels, 80,000 square feet of community spaces, meeting rooms, computers, rooftop gardens, and of course books, there is something for everyone.
